Meet the Doctor
Dr. John R. Herrin, DDS, MS
A New Hampshire native, Dr. Herrin is a 1974 graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed his periodontal residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Herrin is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Herrin has been practicing in Bedford since 1986. He is a member of the Manchester and New Hampshire Dental societies, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has received several periodontal achievement awards; has published scientific papers in national and local journals; is active in continuing education, and lectures frequently.
Dr. Herrin and his wife, Linda, live in Amherst, NH. He has two grown sons. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys skiing, canoeing, fishing and other outdoor activities. Dr. Herrin retired after 31 years of service in the Army and New Hampshire National Guard.

Because our patient's health and well being are of utmost importance, our staff regularly participates in continuing education. Our team takes great pride in facilitating the process for each individual as they work to achieve and sustain dental and overall health.
JoeAnn Balsamo
JoeAnn has been employed by Dr. Herrin since 1986 as his financial officer. She has an A.S. in Business Management from Hesser college.
JoeAnn resides in New Hampshire with her husband Joe and their two sons. She loves kickboxing, power walking, and keeps very busy with her son's sports schedules.
Tammy Laventure
Tammy has been in the dental field for over 20 years and loves interacting with the patients, making them laugh and loving their smiles. Tammy keeps busy watching her son play hockey in the winter and beaching in the summer!! She loves being around people so you will often see her volunteering at her son’s school. But... her real passions are shopping and dining out!!!
Linda Herrin
Linda loves to smile and nothing makes her happier than when people smile back at her. She doesn't know a stranger and can be seen helping behind the scenes at our front desk.
Linda is married to John and is a "Parrothead" at heart. Grateful for an amazing family and friends she also enjoys traveling, walking and fishing.
Stefani Kayser, RDH
Stefani has worked at NH Center for Periodontics since she graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at NH Technical Institute in 1999. She is committed to continued learning and a high standard of care.
Stefani resides in Merrimack, NH, is married, and is the proud mother of one child. She enjoys reading, canoeing, needlepoint, and spending time with her family.
Melissa Weinberg, RDH
Melissa has been a part of our dental team since 2008. She is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs with an A.S. in Health Science. She is a hygienist, surgical assistant and patient facilitator who enjoys helping patients achieve there dental health goals, while providing the highest standard of care. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, Shane and the fur babies. She also enjoys traveling, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Amelia Leonhardt
Amelia graduated from Clark College’s Department of Dental Hygiene in 2014 and Eastern Washington University in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has practiced Dental Hygiene in Washington State, Wyoming, and New Zealand before moving with her husband to New Hampshire in 2021. Amelia is passionate about dental hygiene and loves educating and empowering her patients to attain optimal oral health. Patients often commend her for her thorough and gentle clinical skills.
When not working, you can find Amelia hiking, running or walking outside, baking healthy treats in the kitchen, or plotting a trip somewhere.
Michelle Blake
Michelle is a relatively new member to the team and has been a Dental Assistant for over eight years. What she loves about the dental field is caring for patients, getting to know them over the course of their appointments, and helping them achieve their dental health goals.
In her free time Michelle enjoys being active with her daughter. They enjoy skiing, hiking, surfing and relaxing on the beach.
