Meet the Doctor
Dr. John R. Herrin
A New Hampshire native, Dr. Herrin is a 1974 graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed his periodontal residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Herrin is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Herrin has been practicing in Bedford since 1986. He is a member of the Manchester and New Hampshire Dental societies, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has received several periodontal achievement awards; has published scientific papers in national and local journals; is active in continuing education, and lectures frequently.
Dr. Herrin and his wife, Linda, live in Amherst, NH. He has two grown sons. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys skiing, canoeing, fishing and other outdoor activities. Dr. Herrin retired after 31 years of service in the Army and New Hampshire National Guard.

Our team is carefully chosen to ensure that their skill and dedication to the periodontal care of our patients is of the highest standards. Because our patient's health and well being are of utmost importance, our staff regularly participates in continuing education. Our team takes great pride in facilitating the process for each individual as they work to achieve and sustain dental and overall health.
JoeAnn Balsamo
JoeAnn has been employed by Dr. Herrin since 1986 as his financial officer. She has an A.S. in Business Management from Hesser college.
JoeAnn resides in Atkinson, New Hampshire with her husband Joe and their two sons. She loves kickboxing, power walking, and keeps very busy with her son's sports schedules.
Linda Herrin
Linda joined the team in January 2010 as Office Coordinator, although she has been helping behind the scenes since 2006. She has over 15 years experience working in periodontal offices. Linda has her Associate Degree from Robert Morris College.
She is married to John and enjoys walking, traveling, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Stefani Kayser, RDH
Stefani has worked at NH Center for Periodontics since she graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at NH Technical Institute in 1999. She is committed to continued learning and a high standard of care.
Stefani resides in Merrimack, NH, is married, and is the proud mother of one child. She enjoys reading, canoeing, needlepoint, and spending time with her family.
Faye Lang
Faye has been a patient of Dr. Herrin's since 1986. She joined the team in June, 2004 as Office Coordinator. In June, 2001 Faye graduated with high honors from the College For Lifelong Learning University System of New Hampshire with an A.S. in Early Childhood Education. She resides in Manchester with her husband Rogers. They have three grown children, Katie, Janet and Joseph and one grandson. She loves spending time with her family, walking, running, and hiking.
Lisa Pastro
Lisa has been practicing as a registered dental hygienist for twenty-four years. She graduated from NHTI in 1987. She is currently attending the University of New Hampshire and working on a Nutritional Science Degree. Lisa worked for Dr. Herrin for a couple of years in the late 1980's when he first started his practice in Bedford. She then moved to California and practiced in The South Bay of San Francisco for five years, then practiced in Reno, Nevada for ten years. Lisa is happy to be back in the New England area once again, currently residing in Windham with her three boys.
Jill Rice, RDH
Jill is a Registered Dental Hygienist, graduating from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1983. With many years of experience Jill is able to provide many aspects of dental health care and education. She takes special interest in helping each patient develop a clear understanding of his or her dental health needs and goals. Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She can often be found enjoying various outdoor activities, including walking, biking and skiing.
Melissa Welnberg, RDH
Melissa has been part of our dental team since 2008. She is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs with an A.S. in Health Science. She is a dedicated hygienist who enjoys helping her patients achieve there dental goals, while providing the highest standard of care. Melissa resides in Milford with her husband Shane and their two cats, Nala and Mufasa. She enjoys traveling, the beach, scrap booking, motorcycle riding, shopping and spending time with her family.
